- Location: Anywhere in Bangladesh (Field-based role, reporting to Dhaka office)
- Experience: At least 5 years (Minimum 3 years in fire safety engineering)
- Education: BSc in Civil/Architectural Engineering

Overall Job Purpose
The Fire Safety Engineer will be part of the RSC Fire Safety department, responsible for the practical execution of safety inspections, remediation, verification, and technical consultation components in assigned workplaces. The role involves extensive fieldwork and ensuring compliance with RSC guidelines.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Inspection & Verification:
- Conduct factory inspections according to RSC guidelines and SOPs (Structural, Electrical, Fire, and Boiler safety).
- Perform Testing & Commissioning Verification Inspections for the Fire Protection System and Fire Alarm Detection System.
- Provide technical guidance to industries based on relevant Standards, Codes, & AHJ resolutions.
Reporting & Remediation:
- Produce inspection reports and design document review comments in accordance with RSC protocols.
- Conduct necessary follow-up to ensure remediation plans (CAP) are finalized and executed within required timeframes.
- Perform technical meetings with factories to identify difficulties and provide necessary remedial guidance.
- Ensure quality assurance on report writing and data management.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering from a reputed university.
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years total, with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated professional experience in fire safety engineering.
- Technical Expertise: Experience in Fire Protection and Detection System, Fire Safety Audit, Fire Safety System Designing, and Inspection.
- Skills: Proficiency in written and spoken English, excellent organizational and record-keeping skills, and proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Personal Traits: Professionalism, integrity, ability to work accurately under stress, and strong communication skills to liaise effectively with workers, factory owners, and brand representatives.
