🎯 Position Purpose
The Centre Manager, Production Centre is responsible for the end-to-end operations and management of production centres in Bhasan Char, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery of products to buyers while achieving financial self-sustainability.
The role includes production planning, budgeting, cost control, people management, and compliance with organisational policies. The position also focuses on ski
lls development, manufacturing efficiency, product marketing, and maintaining strong coordination with government authorities, including the RRRC.
🛠️ Job Description
Production, Manufacturing, Marketing & Operations
- Plan and manage production schedules, processes, manpower, and resources to meet buyer demand and delivery timelines.
- Ensure efficient manufacturing and high-quality output by minimizing alteration, rejection, wastage, and production costs.
- Oversee timely procurement and availability of raw materials, machinery, equipment, and logistics support.
- Develop and implement product marketing plans; identify potential buyers and explore market linkage opportunities.
- Design and execute product branding and promotional strategies, including managing digital platforms (websites and social media).
Skills, Livelihoods & Production Orientation
- Integrate skills development and livelihood objectives into production centre operations.
- Develop and maintain product quality standards aligned with renowned brands (e.g., Aarong).
- Ensure production output meets market requirements, buyer specifications, and demand trends.
- Promote innovation, efficiency improvement, and value addition in production processes.
- Establish mechanisms for long-term financial and operational sustainability.
- Strengthen staff and artisan capacity through coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training.
Financial, Admin & Compliance
- Execute operations-related plans, budgets, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor and control production budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and donor compliance.
- Oversee HR, Admin, Compliance, Legal, Accounts, and Inventory functions of the production centre.
- Ensure accountability and effective utilization of donor funds and resources.
- Strengthen supply chain systems to ensure uninterrupted availability of production inputs.
Coordination, Reporting & People Management
- Maintain close coordination with BRAC HCMP Cox’s Bazar, government offices, CiCs, RRRC offices in Bhasan Char, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Lead preparation and timely submission of programme and donor reports.
- Contribute to proposal development, concept notes, and fundraising initiatives.
