Job Purpose
Oxfam in Bangladesh is seeking an Influencing, Communication, Advocacy and Media (ICAM) Specialist to provide technical, creative, and operational support in implementing Oxfam’s ICAM strategy. The role will strengthen advocacy communications, media engagement, and storytelling across programmes and campaigns, while supporting responsible digital and AI-enabled innovation, coordination, and knowledge management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation of Oxfam’s ICAM strategy across programmes and campaigns
- Lead and contribute to advocacy communications, media engagement, and narrative development
- Produce high-quality storytelling and content across written, visual, and digital platforms
- Support the responsible use of digital and AI-enabled tools to enhance communications impact, learning, and audience engagement
- Ensure effective coordination, documentation, and knowledge management of ICAM activities
- Contribute to feminist, rights-based advocacy approaches aligned with Oxfam’s values
- Manage multiple priorities and deliver quality outputs under pressure
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Development Studies, International Relations, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in communications, advocacy, media, or digital engagement
- Proven experience in media relations, advocacy communications, and content development
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills in both English and Bangla
- Strong understanding of development, humanitarian, and rights-based approaches
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong alignment with feminist leadership principles, including influencing, relationship-building, and self-awareness

Salary & Benefits
- Salary as per Oxfam National D1 Pay Band
- Starting annual salary: BDT 1,462,326 (13 months)
- Salary is negotiable for highly competent and experienced candidates
