Position Overview
ICAB is seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to lead the Financial Report Monitoring and Practice Review Department (FRM&PR) as Director / Additional Director. The role involves overseeing financial reporting and audit practice review functions in compliance with international and local standards.
Key Functions & Responsibilities
Lead, monitor, supervise, and develop the FRM&PR Department as the departmental head.
Conduct financial report monitoring and audit practice reviews in compliance with IFRS, ISA, quality control standards, and other applicable rules and regulations.
Guide and oversee inspection of practicing CA firms.
Ensure effective implementation of regulatory and technical requirements.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by higher authority.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Must be a Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAB.
Age: 45–55 years (relaxable for deserving candidates).
Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience (relaxable for exceptional candidates).
Strong leadership capability to manage and guide the FRM&PR Department.
Prior experience in CA firm inspections and audit practice review is highly preferred.
Sound knowledge and hands-on experience in financial reporting across diverse entities.
Expertise in the application of audit software will be an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and team management skills, including managing a pool of Chartered Accountants.
Excellent interpersonal and IT skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bengali.
High ethical standards and unquestionable integrity.
